Vincent Dempsey

Vincent graduated from Leesburg HS in Leesburg, Fla. After high school he joined the US Army. He worked for Con Edison in Westchester County from 1960 to 2005. He married Agnes Andrews in 1963 in Yonkers, she survives. Vincent was a coach for Pop Warner Football and the North Yonkers Boys & Girls Club. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. He loved NY Jets Football and listening to Elvis Presley, also enjoyed genealogy and all animals especially dogs. Vincent was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife Agnes, 2 sons Vincent (Brenda) and Michael (Barbara); 1 daughter Jennifer (Craig) Kossin; 4 grandchildren Raissa Korzen, Vincent and Kevin Dempsey and Joseph Cosenza. He was predeceased by a brother Timothy Dempsey and 1 sister Joan Merlino. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Vincent’s name may be sent to Calvary Hospice 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461 ATTN: Calvary Fund. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Friday at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
