Vincent R. Kellett of Yonkers died on November 30, 2016 at age 93. He was born to James and Julia Lane Kellett on August 2, 1923 in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Vincent was a Corporal in the US Army during WWII and was in two invasions and escaped a fiery explosion on a ship in the Philippines also invaded Okinawa, Japan. Vincent married Evelyn Schmid in 1950 at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers, she died in 2008. He worked as a US Postal worker in Scarsdale for 27 years. Vincent is survived by his niece Jean Connelly-McGregor; he was predeceased by his wife Evelyn and his daughter Patricia Ann. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10am to 10:45am. A Mass of Christian will be in Sacred Heart Church at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
