Walter Szwejtys of Yonkers died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at age 81. Born on May 20, 1933 to Frank and Frances Szwejtys in Poland. He worked as a machinist for Nice-Pak Products for over twenty five years. Walter was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church; his hobbies were playing the accordion and visiting the Trotters at the racetrack.
He was predeceased by his wife Wanda Muszynski and three sons; John, Steven and David. Mr. Szwejtys is survived by five children; Tommy, Wally, Joseph, Carol and Lori, two sisters Jadwiga Bildriuk and Janina Kumor. He is also survived by his two grandsons; Brandon and Joey. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be in Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
