Zonia Torres (nee Galang) of Yonkers, New York died on Monday January 14, 2013 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital at the age 63. Born on July 14, 1949 to Honorato and Corazon Galang in the Philippines where she was raised and educated, attending local schools. She is survived by her husband Edgardo Torres and her children and grandchildren. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave., Yonkers, N.Y. (965-5488) on both Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday January 19th at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Jackson Ave., Hastings on Hudson, N.Y.
