At age 9, Helen traveled with her family by boat to New York where she learned English, made lots of friends, and graduated high school. She married Vincent Codispoti on August 16, 1958 in New York. They soon had their three daughters, Marianne (d.), Victoria, and Lisa and then moved to Orange County, California in 1969. Helen was a devoted mother to her girls, taking them to Girl Scouts, ballet, and instilling a love of God and family. She also built a career working at USF&G as a legal secretary for over twenty years. In 1992, she decided to retire and become a full time grandmother.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She will be remembered as a second mom to many. Her home and heart were open to all and you would always be well fed by her Italian cooking. On any given day, it was a regular occurrence to have more than ten people at the dinner table, enjoying her homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs.
She is survived by her husband Vincent, daughters Victoria (Rick) and Lisa (Brian), brothers Joe and Eric, and eight grandchildren, Marissa, Amanda, Jenna, Cassie, Andrew, Matthew, Mikaela, and David.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 10am on Monday January 23rd at San Antonio Catholic Church in Anaheim Hills.
