

Born in New York on March 24, 1937. Mike grew up in the Bronx, and spent many a weekend taking the subway to visit the museums, libraries and outdoor music in NYC. While attending St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, he met the love of his life and wife of 65 years, Dolores Mahony. They married in June 1958 and were the parents of six children, Dodi (Ed) Francisco, Michael J. (Anna), James J. (Kimberly), Patricia (Richard) Clark, Teri, Thomas F. (Margie). He treasured his grandchildren Ed Francisco Jr, Richard II, Michael (Meredith) and Meghan Clark, Christopher (Myriha) Velez, Maggie (Derek) Francisco, Adam (Ashley) and Trevor (Jennie) Velez and adored his greatgrands Nova, Olivia, Rio and Harper.
His gift as a father and grandfather was to instill his faith, honesty, loyalty and love of family. Mike spent his working years in marketing and business development at several scientific instrument companies, retiring from Beckman Instruments in Fullerton in 1993. His retirement years included traveling, gardening, tinkering and spending time with his family.
A Catholic mass for Christian burial is planned for later this year.
