Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—known for his vibrant spirit, warm heart, and a love for laughter, good food, and great company.
On November 3, 1985, Paul married the love of his life, Kathy Ann Muckenthaler. Their bond was truly special, and their 40 years together were filled with joy, deep companionship, and cherished moments with their children, grandchildren, and close friends. When Kathy passed, a part of Paul went with her. Life was never quite the same, but today, we find peace in knowing they are together again.
Paul is survived by their loving children and their families:
• Matt Watson, his wife Stacey, and their sons Kyle and Mitchell
• Alisa Swartz
• Christina Tarr, her husband Mike, and their children Shannon and Robbie Wellbaum, David & Brianna Tarr, and Ryan Tarr
• Jolene Beverage and her daughters: Brianna & Evan Hunsberger, Brittany & James Hendrik, Brooke & Kory Hoertz, Brigette & Devin Hopkins, Brayden & Matt Tickell, and Brylee Beverage with fiancé Ryan Gabriel
• Danny Muckenthaler
• Jim Muckenthaler, deceased
He also leaves behind beloved friends Bill & Patti Coombs and their daughters—Paul’s goddaughters—Amanda, Amie, Courtney, and Cristin, as well as lifelong friend Bert Fowler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025:
