Daisy Ruth Beck

Dover Twp - D. Ruth Beck, age 82, of York, died at 5:19 AM Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Beck, Sr.

Born August 19, 1936 in York, the daughter of the late Joseph A. Starner, Sr., and Myrtle A. (Densel) Starner, she had worked as an Avon Representative, and was a member of the South End Democratic Club.

Mrs. Beck is survived by two sons, Robert E. Beck, Jr., and his wife Lela, of Dover, and Ralph E. Beck, Sr. , and his companion Linda Keller, of York; four grandchildren, Bobby, Lida, Eddie and Cory; five great grandchildren; on great great grandchild; and a brother, Paul Starner. She was also preceded in death by five brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, November 16, 2018, at the Semmel Chapel of Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, with Chaplain Donald Alspaugh officiating. Viewing will be 9:30-10:30. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
