Dolores R McBride

York - Dolores Ruth (Gustafson) McBride, 87, died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her residence.

She was the wife of over 50 years to the late James "Grandpa" M. McBride, Jr.

Dolores was born in White Fox, Saskatchewan, Canada on September 11, 1931, daughter of the late Ernest and Marion (Radmore) Gustafson.

Dolores was a long standing member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Along with being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose first priority was her family, she was a homemaker and dance teacher, along with many other talents.

She is survived by four children, Sonja D. McDonald and her husband, Lloyd L. of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Nadine R. Pylant and her husband, Roy W. of York, James M. McBride, III and his wife, Betty L. of York, and Blake D. McBride and his wife, Colleen Kennedy of York; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1502 4th Avenue, York, with the Rev. Barbara J. Seras officiating. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in Susquehanna Memorial Garden. After the grave side service, please join the family at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church for a light lunch and personal celebration of her life.
