Rafael "Rafy" Antonio Calderon-Rivera

Rafael Antonio Calderon-Rivera, 39 of York entered into rest on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at York Hospital with his loving and supported wife and family by his side. He was the husband of Luz Maria “Tuty” (Cruz) Calderon.

Rafael was born in Puerto Rico on January 18, 1979 to Juan and Felicita (Rivera) Calderon.

Rafael who is affectionately known as Rafy enjoyed fishing, road trips, traveling, music but most of all he loved spending time with his family. If you knew Rafy, you would know that he is an avid New York Yankees & Giants fan.

Rafael leaves to mourn his loss, but cherish his memory his wife, Luz “Tuty”; his parents Juan & Felicita; grandfather Juan Calderon; two sons Rafael A. Calderon, Jr. and Elias J. Calderon; four brothers Juan Calderon (Mariana), Angel Calderon (Arlene) Miquel Calderon (Michelle) and Joel Rosado; three sisters Elsa Calderon (Jose), Yesika “Jess” Nieves and Dorcas “Coqui” Nieves (Miguel); godchildren Giovanni Nieves and Jisela Cruz; best friends Vlady, Roger, Taylor and Soriano; his pets Rocky and Smooch, aunts uncles, cousins and a host of very special nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Rafael was preceded in death by his uncle Georgie; mother in law Carmen and brother Moyo.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 9 to 11AM and a funeral service will follow at 11AM at Iglesia Pentecostal Mision Goel (Grace Lutheran Church) 150 Jefferson Ave. York PA 17404 with Pastor Ana Cadiz and Pastor Luis Vazquez, officiating. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
