York - Ruth Mary Elliott, 86, entered into rest on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was the widow of Robert Elliott.
Ruth was born in Clyo, GA on June 25, 1931 to the late Abraham and Vanglee (Stoke) Reed.
Ruth worked as a Housekeeper at York Hospital and she enjoyed being around people. She also loved to cook, sew and doing gardening.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memory a son, John L. Jones; two daughters, Betsy R. Kinard and Connie L. Jones; four grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by all of her siblings; a daughter, Gayle Scott;,and a grandson, Damont Scott.
A viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a service will follow at 1 p.m. at Boulding Mortuary Inc., 471 Madison Ave., York, on Friday, May 4, 2018. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
