Cheryle D. Weir

Cheryle graduated from Garfield Senior High in 1963. She married George Michael Trauthwein in December 1963 in Hamilton, Ohio and they had four children – Victor (and Melody) Trauthwein, Alice (and Gary) Rook, Angela Trauthwein and Larry (and Janet) Trauthwein before divorcing in 1977.

Cheryle married Geoffrey Bookelaar in 1980 and they had three children – Hanneka (and Jason) White, Maritska (and Nick) Giacone and Arend Jacob (and Sierra) Bookelaar before divorcing in 2002.

Cheryle married Otis Weir in September 2007 and he was by her side till she was called home to heaven.

Cheryle’s hobbies were sewing, bingo and spending time with her grandkids. She also loved dancing and being a country music band groupy!

She was preceeded in death by her parents Lester and Ida, her sister Janet Steiger, her nephews Michael and James Lawson, grandson Michael Trauthwein and her great-grandson Dalton Harris.

She is survived by her husband Otis Weir, her seven children, her sister Judy (and James) Bowman, brother Merle Lawson, nieces Dianne Combs, Kelly Bowling, Melodie Hays, Melinda Stensaas, nephews Kevin Steiger, Scott Steiger, grandchildren Crystal Taylor, Jarred Rook, James Rook, Amanda Haugse, Jerica Rook, Nikolas Haugse, Taytam Trauthwein, Megan White, Rylee Trauthwein, Noah Caudill, Ryan White, Chase White, Brayden Garcia, Giovanni Giacone, Issaiah Lopez, Baylee Garcia, Legend White, Elyja Lopez, Shyla Lopez, Kailani Bookelaar, Remi Bookelaar, Dominic Giacone, Carli Bookelaar, Maritska-MJ Giacone, Gunner Bookelaar, great-grandchildren Aubrey Harris, Breonna Harris, Emma McQuillen, Ronan Rook, Roxanne Haugse, Nolan Rook & Theodore Sima.

Everyone who knew Cheryle knew her for her kindness, gentleness and her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. God has you in his arms, we have you in our hearts until we can hold your in our arms in heaven.
