Jose Rito Salinas

age of 80. He was taken from us by a rare, aggressive form of cancer surrounded

by his loving family.

Jose Rito Salinas is survived by his wife, Rosemary Salinas; children, Charlotte

Hansen (David), Victor Salinas, Richard Salinas (Petra), and Cathy Silva (Joe);

siblings, Martha Amparan (Paul), and Charlotte Dilley; grandchildren and

great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents, Jose Rito Salinas and Dora

Salinas; brother, Victor Salinas, and sisters, Sylvia Padia, and Veronica Maya; and

son, Joey Salinas.

He was born on March 26, 1941 in Glendale, Arizona. He attended Our Lady of

Perpetual Help Catholic School and Glendale High School. He married Rosemary

and welcomed 5 children into the world. His children remember him as a kind

father who was always present in their lives.

Jose Rito Salinas was a hard worker and built the original Rito’s Mexican Food. He

enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends, and was passionate about working on

his ranch to plant many types of trees. He was an active member of the Catholic

Church and often dedicated himself to Our Holy Mother and the Rosary.

He blessed those around him with his talents; he will live on in our hearts and

memories.
