Keoni Wright

Keoni Ben-Oni Vashon Wright was born on March 3, 1993, in Mobile, Alabama to April and Wilbur Wright. She returned to heaven on September 8, 2021, at the tender age of 28. What Keoni cherished most in life was her son, her family, her faith, and her education.

She always enjoyed celebrating birthdays and special events with her loved ones and was interested in stimulating the mind of herself and her son. Keoni always had a passion for her faith, black excellence, travel, fashion, and beauty. In her 20’s she was always traveling with friends and at the age of 22, Keoni graduated from the Phoenix College Dental Assisting Program. By 23, Keoni gave birth to Kairo, and he became the light of her life. Keoni was such a selfless, fun-loving soul who enjoyed the light of life and she carried around an infectious smile that could brighten any room she entered. Her gentle loving soul will be missed dearly.

Keoni leaves behind her mother and father April & Wilbur Wright; stepfather Tommy Chase; sons’ father Kibreab Solomon; son Kairo Wright Solomon; siblings Tameka Wright, Nija & Isabel Wright, Chasity & Tim Wright-Truax, and April & Anthony Wright-Plascencia; grandparents Helen & Jerry Bradley; aunts & uncles Chirlean Flemings Rankins, Gloria Brooks, Carolyn Fornes, Sherman Wright and Willie Wright; nieces and nephews Markeyst Wright-Ross, Nija Jr. & Kesean Wright, Batiya Boyston and Vaniya Lane; and devoted cousin Angela Wright.

Keoni was greeted in heaven by her oldest brother Tremell Vashon Wright and her beloved dog Cooper.

Keoni will be our Forever Guardian Angel and she will reside in our hearts forever.

Services will be held Saturday October 9th 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:45 pm at the Pure Heart Church
