Kevin Douglas Sinclair

Kevin D. Sinclair was called to be with his Heavenly Father on October 8, 2025, at the age of 65. Kevin was the oldest of three born to the late Deacon James E. Sinclair and Jeannette (Douglas) Sinclair on March 8, 1960, in Waterbury, CT.

Kevin was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury and achieved a BS in Finance from the University of Connecticut. Kevin was very athletic in formative years and in addition to being known for his prodigious afro, he was well known as a talented basketball shooting guard starting during his Slocum Elementary days throughout his high school career. He was also a devoted UCONN Huskies fan. After graduation, Kevin went to work for Connecticut Social Services as an Associate Accountant for many years until he eventually moved to Arizona where he retired from Walmart after 28 years as a Maintenance Engineer. Prior to his illness, he loved traveling with family and listening to R&B and smooth jazz with his granddaughter.

Kevin leaves to mourn his passing, his partner of 32 years, Andrea Coles, two daughters Jenae (Nate) Charlton and Ariana (Troy) Coles, a son Kevin (Kay) Sinclair II and nine grandchildren. He is survived by two siblings, Kenneth (Noreen) Sinclair of Waterbury, CT, and Keith (Tracy) Sinclair of Columbia, MD. He’ll also be mourned by five great friends who became like family and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Kevin’s warmth, humor, and steadfast devotion to family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 4:00pm MST on October 25, 2025 at his home (13597 N 141st Drive, Surprise, AZ, 85379) and streamed online.
