Marilyn Winfrey Unger passed October 24, 2025, in Prescott, Arizona. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, May 27, 1929, to parents Paul and Ruth Winfrey. Marilyn attended Iowa State College where she met her husband, Richard Unger. They were married for 74 years and had four children.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, and her husband, Richard.
She is survived by her four children, Richard (Suzanne), Clifford, Susan (Peggy), and Julia (John). She leaves four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Marilyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, macrame work, puzzles, and magnets. She was active in leadership roles for Scouting, Camp Fire Girls, and at their churches. Her favorite bible verse is Matthew 6:48.
Memorial donations may be given to a favorite charity or to Desert Palm UCC, Tempe, Arizona.
