Michael Robert Thornton passed away on February 27, 2016 in Surprise, AZ. Michael was born in Rolla, Missouri to Kathleen (Slover) and Robert Thornton on February 6, 1946. After receiving his BS in Business, he was a Tech with Commscope Corporation for over 40 years. He had made his home in the Valley of the Sun for the last 12 years. He was a great sports fan and loved watching western cowboy movies. Mike is survived by his adored wife of 32 years, Donna Rae Thornton; devoted children Tammy Zundel and Michael Lance Thornton and Andrea Kollerbohm; cherished grandchildren Meghan, Loghan, Ashley, Preston, Julio, Hayden and Ethan. Visitation will begin at 9:00am at Citrus Road Community Church of the Nazarene, 418 S Citrus Road, Goodyear, AZ. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 10:30am.
