With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, and mother, Nancy Bergevin, following a courageous nine-week battle after surgery for a brain tumor. Her journey was far more difficult and complicated than anyone could have imagined, but Nancy faced it with all the strength she had. She is now at peace and free from pain.
Nancy made her home in Sun City, Arizona, where she found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved decorating her home, working on puzzles, listening to music, and enjoying her favorite Mexican food, always made better with a margarita. In earlier years, Nancy worked as an aeronautical mechanic at Rohr Industries. She was a proud member of the Sun City Poms, a marching and performance group for older women. She enjoyed marching since she was in high school where she was a majorette. She treasured the performances, the uniforms, and especially the friendships she made. These moments reflected the joyful and distinctive spirit that made her uniquely Nancy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Pauline Bergevin. She is survived by her sisters, Carol Snapp of Henderson, Nevada; Linda Bergevin of Easley, South Carolina; and Diane Casey of Wittmann, Arizona; her son, Todd Miramon and daughter in-law, Marcy Miramon of Goodyear, Arizona; and her grandchildren, Ashlee and Keaton Miramon. She is also survived by her nieces, Michelle Hoffman, Beth Casey, Jennifer Casey, and Audrey Pablo; her nephew, Sean Casey; and many dear friends, cousins and relatives.
As we say goodbye, we will deeply miss Nancy and cherish the memories she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, and may all who knew and loved her find comfort in the special moments and memories they hold close to their hearts.
Cremation at Advantage Golden Door Chapel, and interment at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary in Sun City, Arizona.
