Pauline was born in Burlington, Iowa, on 27 October 1932. She married Fred R. Salsman in 1948, and together they shared 67 years of love that inspires us all. For most of her married life, she stayed at home, caring for her husband and raising their three daughters. In 1985, she and Fred moved from Vacaville, California, to Phoenix, Arizona. She spent much of her free time sewing handmade quilts for local hospitals and people who were homebound. She loved her cookies and chocolates almost as much as she loved serving her Lord and Savior, and we know there will be plenty waiting for her in heaven. Pauline found so much joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she always looked forward to their visits, which brought out her giggle and a big smile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred R. Salsman.
She is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Ragan, Paula Jones (Stephen), and Jolean Carroll (Jeffrey); five grandchildren, Daniel Ragan, Bryan Carroll, Jessica Carroll, John Jones, and Kari Jones; and two great-grandchildren, China Grayce Ragan and Nova McGoldrick.
Pauline will be honored at a Committal Service at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351, on August 4, 2026 at 10:00am.
