Robert Duran Vega

Born on January 19, 1952, Robert was a proud graduate of Peoria High School. His passion for technology led him to Devry, where he earned his degree as an equipment technician. Robert dedicated his professional life to General Instruments and later Microchip Technology, where he was known for his exceptional ability to troubleshoot and quickly restore machines to full operation.

Beyond his professional life, Robert was a man of many passions. A skilled mechanic, he often reminisced about learning the craft from his father at a young age, starting with oil changes and progressing to more complex automotive knowledge. Robert was the life of every party, famous for initiating the electric slide and getting everyone on the dance floor. He was a funny, social, and genuinely engaging individual who brightened the lives of those around him.

Robert is survived by his four devoted children, Monique, Andrew, Adam, and Alexis, and his two cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Naomi. He also leaves behind his loving sisters, Esther and Cynthia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Jenny Vega, and his brother, David.

Robert's quick wit, mechanical prowess, infectious love for music, and the joy he brought to every gathering will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 11211 Michigan Ave, Youngtown, AZ 85363, United States. The service is scheduled for August 1, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
