Yolanda C. Huerta

Yolanda Cobos Huerta was born in Otis, New Mexico on June 26th, 1937. She married the love of her life Guadalupe Leyva Huerta on June 20th, 1959. They settled in Surprise, AZ where they raised their children. She worked for the Dysart Unified School District for over 30 years starting as a Teacher’s Assistant, then transitioned into a clerical position in the Bilingual Program, finishing out her career as a Records Clerk for the Migrant Program. She entered in to rest July 6th, 2017 at her home in Surprise, AZ surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Leyva Huerta and her son Steven Huerta. She leaves to cherish her memory, her Son, Guadalupe Huerta Jr., and Daughter-in- law Carmela Huerta, Daughters, Josie, Vangie, and Dina Huerta, Grandchildren, Guadalupe Huerta III, Steven Huerta, Cassandra Huerta Montoya, Jeremiah Montoya, Robert Mendez, and Stephanie Mendez, Great Grandchildren, Jadon Huerta, Elijah Huerta, Sophia Huerta, Elliana Huerta, Devante Montoya and Amira Montoya, Brothers Sam Cobos, Saulo Cobos Jr. and Ben Sanchez. She was loved by her family, and an abundance of friends. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
