Alfonso was a husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, loved one, and community member. At 18 years old, he joined the military to become an airborne paratrooper in Vietnam. Once he became a veteran, he earned his masters degree in Arts Education in May of 2003. An educated veteran, He became a teacher at LAUSD, teaching all ages throughout his life. He met the love of his life Christmas of 1970, and started a family that has reached 4 generations.
May we remember Alfonso as a man who loved to sing and dance, help others, spend time with loved ones, play softball, join clubs in his communities, teach at his local churches, work hard, travel, and live life to the fullest.
