Clyde Wilson Hansen

Clyde came to California in 1936 and had lived in the Calimesa/Yucaipa area since 1961. He played catcher for the Los Angeles Angels Pacific Coast League through 1941. He served in the army from September 1942 until April 1944. He was in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre on Attu, the Allusians and Alaska. Clyde and Inez were married in South Dakota on September 14, 1946.

Clyde worked at many jobs in his life. It included Sages for 10 years, managing Holiday Mobile Rancho in Calimesa for 7 years and retired from Emerson Bartlett Mortuary in Redlands after working for 4 1/2 years.

He is survived by his wife, Inez of Yucaipa, daughters Sharlene and Wayne Doeden of Yucaipa, LeAnn and Steve Ryan of Lancaster. Grandsons Brian and Tracy Doeden of Yucaipa, Mark Ryan of Lancaster, Bradley and Jennifer Ryan of Loveland, Colorado and Granddaughter Tammy Stewart of Yucaipa. Great Grandchildren Cassey (Lynch) Doeden of Yucaipa, Kayla (Lynch) Doeden of Brunswick, Maine, Maverick and Cody Stewart of Yucaipa, Jadynn and Kyra (Powers) Ryan and Logan and Melyssa Ryan of Loveland, Colorado. Brother Ralph and Lois Hansen of Brandon, South Dakota. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Tommy, parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 23rd at 2:00 pm at Yucaipa Christian Church, 12954 Bryant Street with Pastor Don Hinkle officiating. Burial was private.
