Gabriel Joseph Vigil, known to many as Gabe, was born on November 12, 1978, in Covina, California. Gabe passed away on June 1, 2026, in Loma Linda, California, at the age of 47. He had been a resident of Yucaipa, California, for the past 10 years. He was the son of Ernest Vigil and Melanie Vigil.
Gabe built a life grounded in steady work, practical skill, and a sincere regard for the people around him. He was employed at Harvest Table and also worked as a contractor at University of Redlands, roles that reflected his reliability and willingness to take on what needed to be done.
Away from work, Gabe found satisfaction in hands-on pursuits, including car repair and small construction projects—interests that spoke to his patience, resourcefulness, and pride in doing things well. He also enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, appreciating the simple pleasure of a good song and the shared experience of live performance.
Above all, Gabe valued time with those he loved. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and he was known for stepping in to help whenever it was necessary—quietly, generously, and without hesitation. That steady presence, and the care he showed through his actions, will be remembered with lasting gratitude.
Gabe is survived by his children, Allyson Orr and Daniela Solis; his sister, Angela Vigil; his nephews, Isiah Peters, Richard Martel, and Vincent Martel; and his niece, Isabel Martel.
