Harlan was born in Aberdeen, Washington. His parents were Owen Wolfe and Alice Scott
Wolfe. Harlan lived in Mariposa, California and attended high school there. He also attended
Pacific Union College Preparatory in Angwin, California. He graduated from Pacific Union College (PUC) and received a master’s degree in Industrial Arts. He loved to sing and had a beautiful voice.
He was part of the Tall Quartet while attending PUC and traveled with the quartet singing in many different locations including San Quentin prison. He sang in Loma Linda University Church choir for many years.
He was drafted into the US Army and served in the White Coat project at Fort Detrick, Maryland and later was a draftsman at Fort Detrick. After his military service he taught Industrial Arts at Loma Linda Academy in Loma Linda, California. After teaching he spent the majority of his career at Loma Linda University Hospital in engineering services.
He survived by his wife, Janice Quick-Wolfe of Yucaipa, California and daughter Natasha
Abbott (Peter) of Calimesa, California. He is also survived by three grandchildren Audreanna White (Cody) of Temecula, California, Joshua Abbott and Katie Abbott of Calimesa. He is also survived by one great-grandson Colton White. His brother Curtis and sister Sharon preceded him in death.
He is remembered for his love of singing, his outstanding ability to construct and fix anything mechanical. He loved working on his old cars, especially his Volkswagen bus and his bugs. He is remembered for always being dependable and always there for his family.
