June Frances Kunze

June was born on June 27, 1928 in North Bergen, New Jersey. She died of natural causes on January 28, 2016 at Redlands Community Hospital. She was a resident of Yucaipa and Calimesa for over 40 years. She worked as a statistical accounting clerk at Cities Service Oil Co. in New York city until her marriage to Edward Kunze in 1952. She described how exciting it was to work in NYC during the end of WW II. The city was overflowing with service members returning from war and so happy to be going home. She was later a volunteer at the Yucaipa Senior Center, a Pink Lady at Redlands Community Hospital and attended Cerritos, El Camino and Crafton Hills colleges. She was an active member of the Redlands YMCA and a longtime member of TOPS in Yucaipa. She returned yearly to New Jersey to visit family members of whom she was very fond. June had five children, Gregory, Allyson, Andrea, Matthew and Zachary. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999, her daughter Andrea in 2007 and by her sister Josephine and brother Edward. June had 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and friends and by all who loved her.
