Patricia was born on January 29, 1931 in Denver, CO, to George Riley and Lilian (McCoy) Riley.
Patricia served in the Navy during the Korean War. After the Navy, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Immaculate Heart College. She enjoyed a career in social work in Los Angeles, where she met her husband, Billy Ben Lynch.
Patricia married Billy in 1971 and had two daughters, Barbara and Diane. Not long after having children, they both retired and moved the family to Calimesa.
She was very devoted to her faith, especially later in life. She belonged to St Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church, where she lectured and volunteered with the Catholic Daughters of America. She often credits her faith with helping her stop smoking about 19 years ago.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Billy, who passed away earlier this year on January 19, 2019. She was also preceded by her younger sister, Barbara Riley. She is survived by her two daughters, as well as Diane’s three children, Zoe, Geneva, and Josephine. She was also devoted to her husband’s daughter from a previous marriage, Christina Lynch, as well as her dear friend, Patsy Jorgensen, and Patsy’s daughter, Brenda.
Her funeral will be on Thursday, February 14, at St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church in Yucaipa, CA. There will be a rosary at 10:30 AM, followed by the funeral mass at 11 AM and a reception in the Parish Center at noon.
