Richard Ray Butler

Rick was retired from a supervisory position with San Bernardino County Facilities Management Department. In retirement, he had his own business bronzing baby shoes.

Rick served in the United States Army as PFC - Staff Sgt in the 82nd and the 13th Airborne Divisions and the 325th and 326th Paratrooper/Glider Infantry Regiments. He fought in the WW II European Theatre and later served in Okinawa, Japan. Rick also served in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Air Force.

Rick loved his family, his dogs, home decorating, music and was a gourmet cook. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving heart.

Rick is survived by his wife Carol Butler; daughter Sandra Resterhouse; step-daughter Tambria Wheeler; daughter-in-law Gilberta Butler and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Fry; son Richard R. Butler II; parents and siblings.

Memorial service for family and close friends Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 3:00pm, at Weaver Hughes Mortuary, 33629 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, California.

Flowers are graciously declined, friends are encouraged to donate to their churches or favorite charities.
