Ronald Earl Gardner (Ronnie), son of the late Robert Gardner Sr and the late Marie Dalton Gardner was born March 1, 1950 in Los Angeles California. Ronnie attended John C. Fremont High School and was a graduating member of the class of 1968. Shortly after, he met Gloria Jones and had his first daughter Nicole Gardner. Later he met Yvonne McKinney and three wonderful children spawned from their union. Rosalind, Ronald Jr., and Ronnell. Ronald was a well respected professional at the United States Postal Service. He then retired from the postal service in 2013. Only after a couple of weeks of rest he went on to start his 2nd career of driving 18 wheelers. That is the industry where he would finish his work career. Although he held full time employment he was more than an employee. He loved sports and politics and was a builder, a plumber, a mechanic, a gardener, a Pianist, and most passionately a musician. He started his backyard entertainment music group where he wrote, produced and published many songs. His love for music pushed him through life. He was a loving husband, a father and a loyal friend.
Ronnie accepted Christ at Mission COC in the early 90's. Later placed membership at Upland COC where he was actively involved and served faithfully until moving to Yucaipa COC in 2021. For someone who would travel 40 miles to save $0.10 on butter or milk and knew the cheapest place to get gas everyday of the year, when it came to helping people he was extremely selfless. No matter the time of day or what it was for if you called him, he was there for you.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Brother & Son. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Yvonne of 46 years. His sister Beatrice Wallace, His two daughters Nicole, Rosalind, his two son's Ronald and Geovanni. Four grandchildren and a great grandchild, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
