

Sandra Marie Simonson was born in Lynwood, California on June 25, 1943. Her parents were Leonard Francis Fisher and Marie Christine Fisher. She is survived by an older sister, Noreen Cecilia Rubino. She was called home by her heavenly Father at approximately 10 AM on December 18. She grew up in Compton, California and attended school at the First Baptist Day School in Compton, Brethren High in Paramount, and Dominguez High School in Compton, graduating third in her class academically. She graduated from George Pepperdine College in 1965 with a teaching credential. Her first teaching job was at Roosevelt Junior High.
She moved to San Luis Obispo a year later where she taught a variety of subjects at SLO senior high school. Both of her parents were teachers and she followed in their footsteps. On July 5, 1975 she married Joseph Wesley Simonson, an Air Force officer. They had two daughters, Kristi Marie Simonson and Dana Lynn (Simonson) Zandonella – both presently living. She loved her girls, each of which have two children.
Kristi's children are Adrian Joseph Simonson and Nicole Marie Simonson. Dana's and Mark's children are Michael Anthony Zandonella and Thomas Alexander Zandonella.
Both Kristi and Dana pursued higher education after graduating. Kristi owns and runs a Narnian website – The Lion's Call. She enjoys writing. Currently she is employed by Crafton College as their website developer. Dana is pursuing a career in counseling. Sandra was ever so proud of her girls and loved her grandchildren.
Her heart's desire is to have her entire family reunited in heaven.
