Steve was loved by all that knew him. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was born on January 26th, 1986 in Anaheim, California and later moved with his family to Bend, Oregon in 1993. In Oregon was where Steve found his love of the outdoors. In 1999 Steve moved with his family to Nampa, Idaho where his love of the outdoors continued to grow. In 2001 Steve and his family moved to Henderson, Nevada. He graduated from Coronado High School in 2004 and went straight to working in the mechanical field which is where he found his passion for Diesel and heavy duty machinery. It is here where Steve met his wife Sadie in 2004 and they got married in 2008. Together Steve and Sadie had three beautiful children, Clayton (2007), Caileigh (2010), and Clarissa (2014). Steve wasted no time sharing his love of the outdoors with his children and sharing with them all of his favorite hobbies. Then in 2021 Steve moved to Yucipa, California to further his mechanical career.
Steve was diagnosed with PEComa in 2022 after his second open heart surgery in three years. He fought a hard battle against this rare type of cancer. He even endured treatment of trial medication to help find a cure, to no avail. Steve stayed strong during all of this and had a positive attitude and outlook.
Steve’s busy hands may rest now. Steve is survived by his wife Sadie Floyd and their three children Clayton, Caileigh and Clarissa. Steve is also survived by his Mom Deborah Finkel, Father and Step-Mother Gregory and Adrianna Floyd, Siblings Scott Finkel, Lucile Finkel, Gregory Floyd Jr, Edward Floyd, Grandma Joyce Green, his In-Laws Jeff and Stacy Clements and several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nieces.
