

Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Dean, passed away October 8, 2011 in a motorcycle accident in Gilroy, California. He was born November 18, 1969, in Fontana at Kaiser Hospital and was a resident of Yucaipa and Beaumont for 12 years. He was a 1987 graduate of Yucaipa High School and was very active in sports. He played in Little League and was on the All-Star team for several years along with basketball and Junior All-American Football. He was on the YHS varsity football and baseball teams. During Tommy's service in the U. S. Army, he was on the Army Boxing Team. Tommy was a teamster with Local #166 and was employed in construction for 20 years. He was working in construction in Northern California at the time of his death. Tommy was always very active with his children, coaching their baseball teams, boating, off roading and camping trips. His family was the most important thing to him. Tommy is survived by his sons; Daniel Dean of Yucaipa and Brian Dean of Beaumont; his daughter, Alysa Dean of Beaumont; his granddaughter, Angelique; his parents, Bennie and Laura Dean of Yucaipa and brothers, Ben and Mike Dean, both of Yucaipa. He is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins of the Deans and the Birds, along with family in Texas and South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Beatrice Harms and Pauline Dean Scarmutz and his uncles, Walter Dean and Clifford "Sonny" Harms, Jr. Tommy touched many lives. Everyone always knew him to have a smile on his face and he had the biggest heart of all. To his children, he was their best friend and the best father anyone could ask for. Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2011, from 4;00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Weaver Hughes Mortuary, 33629 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, California. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at Bryant Street Baptist Church, 13456 Bryant Street, Yucaipa, California. Interment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, California. Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Hughes Mortuary, Yucaipa, California.
