Austin Fred Vaughan, 18, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, in Roll, AZ, due to a motorcycle accident. He was born in Yuma on April 21, 1994, to Robert and Marjorie Vaughan.
Austin started his working career at Seeds West, Inc. and was a Tacna volunteer Fire Fighter. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and 2012 graduate of Antelope Union High School. Austin was an aspiring lineman attending his first year at Arizona Western College and had been admitted into Electric Utility Technology Program at Chandler-Gilbert Community College for August of 2013. Some of his interest and hobbies included dirt bike riding, welding, hunting, auto mechanics, music, spending time with family and friends.
Austin is survived by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Vaughan of Tacna, AZ; brothers, Shepard Vaughan of Phoenix and Prestin Vaughan of Tacna; sister, Aja (Jeremy) Pennell of Yuma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ralph and Judith Vaughan, and Travis Moseley.
A viewing will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (2895 S. 8th Ave., Yuma, AZ 85364) Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. followed by a service at 11:00 A.M. where Bishop Mark Hancock will officiate. Austin's final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Shepard Vaughan, Prestin Vaughan, Louie Humphrey, Bubba Riesland, Drew Millner, and Victor Pelayo, Craig Vaughan, Danny Millner, Charlie McDaniel, and Kevin Vaughan-Brubaker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Pennell and Henry Canan.
