Our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, Bartolo Carreno also known as Bart Carreno, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1938, and had been a long time resident of Yuma, Arizona for the past 70 years. His wife, Amparo, passed several years before him. Bart enjoyed being outdoors with all his farm animals. Through the years, he owned many horses, goats, cows, donkeys, chickens, and roosters. He left behind his prized pig, Mateo. Bart came from a big family of five brothers and three sisters. He was originally from the state of Oaxaca in Mexico.
Bart had his own landscaping business for many years. He was a hardworking and determined man, who never gave up. He had an outgoing friendly personality and many friends in Yuma. Everywhere he went, he was sure to run into someone who knew him. Bart always had a sunny disposition, even in tough times.
He leaves behind his five children: Yesenia, Toni, Terri (Martin Trujillo), Robert (Anmari Carreno), and Isabel; and his ten grandchildren: Amanda, Arianna, Sergio, Gabriel, Diego, Kristyn, Lauryn, Aby, James, and Marco. He also leaves behind his seven great-grandchildren.
