I'm reminded of a verse to an old Eagles song that went like this. I've been searching for the daughter of the devil himself. I've been searching for an angel in white. I've been waiting for a woman who's a little of both. And I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight. I found that woman, and her name was Beverly Joann Hedgecoth. Eight months later we changed her name to Lewis. I have no idea why this beautiful, hot redhead picked a simple sailor for her husband, when she could have had her choice of any man. The love I felt for her can never be put into words, she was my whole life. Open the gates to heaven because you're about to welcome a lady that was one of a kind.
Her early life was spent mostly as a payroll supervisor but later she volunteered as a bartender at the VFW in San Diego and then the Elks Lodge in Yuma.
She has left behind her husband Bill, son Gabriel, and daughter Jessica, as well as 3 brothers (Bruce, Bryan, and Ernie), 1 sister (Patty), and Grandson (David). She was a great Mother, not only to her children but also to her nieces, nephews, and friends alike.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 19th 2022 at 11:00 am at the American Legion Post #19, located at 2575 Virginia Drive Yuma, AZ 85364.
