Carolyn Sue Ferguson, born January 4, 1951, passed away peacefully Friday, January 27th, 2012, after a 5 year battle with breast cancer. Her last days were spent at MD Anderson, continuing her journey utilizing new experimental chemotherapy, but unfortunately her body gave in before she was ready and she lost the fight while in the hospital.
Sue is a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She lived for her family and fought her pain and illness everyday so she could stay with her loved ones longer. She is the strongest woman most of us will ever meet, never crying over her cancer or complaining about her pain. Sue was a dedicated employee, working thru all her chemo and radiation treatments, up until her final days. She was very proud working for her family, the Dunn's.
Sue will be missed tremendously by her son, Lance Ferguson and his children Lance Jr, Miranda, and Justin Ferguson, and their mother Deborah Ferguson. Her daughter Pam Ferguson and her children Michael Doiron and Derick Cuming. Her brothers and sisters, Arlin (Sharon) Dulin, Jeanette (Floyd) Dunn, and Ann Combs. She has many nephews and nieces that were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents JB Dulin and Christine Jaynes. Her sisters Billie Dalton, Dolores Smith, and Pat Illingworth, and her brothers Jimmy and Bobby Dulin.
Funeral will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at Johnson's Mortuary. Visitation will be prior to service at 9:00am and funeral services at 11:00am. Burial will follow immediately at Desert Lawn.
Pallbearers will be Lance, Justin and Miranda Ferguson, Michael Doiron, and Kirk and Ty Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Floyd, Tim, and William Dunn, and Arlin Dulin.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favorite cancer research program.
The family would like to thank MD Anderson for treating her cancer and keeping her with us for three additional years. Also, a big THANK YOU to the Dunn family for making her trips possible.
