Cesar Macias “Güero”, age 45, passed away in Yuma, AZ on January 18, 2022. Cesar is survived by his parents, siblings, his children: Andy, Valeria and Mia, and his furry grandchildren: Bigby, Slug, Squirt and the turtle Flash.
Cesar was a good father, son and brother. To all who knew his best side, he was friendly, cheerful, all giggles and laughter. Cesar shared everything he had with all he knew, old friends or even the new ones he made on a daily basis; like the man outside of Hastings who he shared a cigarette with and listened to the man play his songs. His door was always opened to visitors and sharing a drink and food.
He grew up in the community of San Luis, AZ. He was among the first baseball players who participated in the first baseball league at Friendship Park in San Luis, AZ. He was the first player to hit a home run at Joe Orduño Park, San Luis at the age of 13. He also played for the Kofa Kings, in the Yuma “Babe Ruth” League and “Liga Cucapah” in San Luis, MX.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared for the Macias family.
