

Charles D. Rosenthal at age 83 passed away April 19, 2011 in Yuma AZ. He was born July 28, 1927 in New York.
Charles proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a manager at Sid's Department Store in Salinas, California for 25 years, and also was buyer for Naturalizer shoes. Charles was a member of the Church of Holy Trinity in Salinas. He enjoyed golf and collecting World War II memorabilia.
Charles is survived by his wife of 47 years Mary Rosenthal of Yuma, AZ, stepson, Roy Fryer of Monterey County, CA, stepdaughter, Margie (Tim) O'Grady of Yuma, AZ, niece, Judy Steinberg of Atlantic City, NJ, Diana Morgan Monterey County, CA, nephew, Jim Morgan of Monterey County, CA; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Edith Rosenthal; step-son, George Fryer; sister, Bonnie Morgan; step great-grandson, Timmy Alexander.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Charles will be laid to rest in Salinas California at the Garden of Memories. In lieu of flower please make donation to Hospice Compassus.
