Christina Marcella Palm of Yuma, 63, passed away of natural causes on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ. Christina was born July 4, 1950 in Connellsville, PA. She enlisted with the U.S. Marines one term and later followed with 26 years of civilian military employment combined in Traffic Management Office and Communications Department. Christina earned her Associates degree in Child Development. She was an active member of the Pentecostal (Christian) church. Christina enjoyed reading, watching movies, and hanging out with her friends.
Christina is survived by her son, Phillip Grant of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Yvette Harkins of Phoenix, AZ; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Grant Jr.; mother, Anne Lee Sledge; grandmother, Willie Mae Bennett.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. First Avenue, Yuma.
