Concepcion Figueroa

December 23, 1942 – September 17, 2026

Concepcion Figueroa, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on December 23, 1942, in Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Concepcion leaves behind her beloved husband, Rodolfo Figueroa, the love of her life, whom she had been with since she was just 15 years old. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, family, memories, hardships, celebrations, and countless moments that shaped the family they built together.

Concepcion was a loving mother to Guadalupe Figueroa, Adriana Leal, Monica Navarrete, Karina Zavala, Mireya Lopez, Vanessa Figueroa, and Cristian Figueroa. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Francisco Figueroa, and granddaughter, Jessica Navarrete.

She leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, who were blessed to know her love and care. Concepcion helped raise many of her grandchildren and was a constant presence in their lives. She loved her children deeply and always made sure they were safe, cared for, and had everything they needed.

She was well known in her neighborhood because when the sun began to go down, the neighbors could hear her calling out for the children to let them know it was time to come home.

Concepcion was a woman who knew how to make a home and provide for the people she loved. She carefully budgeted and made sure her family had what they needed. She knew how to stretch a dollar, make things last, and somehow make sure there was always enough.

She also had a creative and crafty spirit. Concepcion enjoyed making things by hand and would lovingly create decorations for birthdays, baby showers, and many other special occasions. She put time, patience, and love into each creation, helping make her family's celebrations even more meaningful.

Concepcion also had a special way of bringing her family together through food. Her cooking was made with love and will always be remembered. Her birria, tamales, beans, crispy-edged pancakes, and incredible salsa were some of the many things her family will miss and continue to remember fondly.

When she wasn't cooking or creating something beautiful, Concepcion enjoyed playing Lotería. Those simple moments—gathering around the table, enjoying her cooking, playing lotería, laughing, and simply being together—are memories her family will treasure forever.

During the last few years of her life, Concepcion became bedbound. One of her greatest wishes was to be able to walk again, but unfortunately, her health did not allow her to do so.

Today, we find comfort in knowing that she is no longer confined by illness or a bed.

Rest peacefully, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and beloved wife.

You can walk now.

You can run now.

You are free.

We love you. We miss you. And we will always carry you in our hearts.
