Dolores spent the winters in Yuma for more than 25 years and it was truly her second home. Dolores was born and raised in North Dakota and moved to Oregon with her husband Bill after retirement.
She had a vibrant love for life and adventure. She traveled often with family and friends visiting as many places as she could, and went on several cruises.
Dolores was always eager to play a card game (and usually win), go to a garage sale and find another set of salt & pepper shakers for her collection, host a dinner gathering, work on a puzzle, or help a friend in need.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Donna (Mike) Fenton of Florence, AZ, two grandchildren; Braden (Laura) Hotopp Spring Valley, MN and Christopher Hotopp, Rochester, MN, one great grandchild, River Hotopp of Spring Valley, MN and step-son Rod Holzinger, Mosier, OR.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Verner and Oda Hermansen, her husband William (Bill) Holzinger and a daughter, Karen Madsen.
Private services will be held at a later date. In honor of Dolores’ love of animals and generosity to others, memorials are suggested to the local humane society or the charity of your choice.
