Doyle was born on March 14, 1954, in Butte, Montana. He grew up in Southern Oregon, where he met his forever family, the Whites. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy for 20 years. Following his retirement from the Navy, he lived in Tigard, Oregon, with his wife, Jean, and their children, Kaisa and Chris. Upon Jean’s retirement, they made their home in Yuma, Arizona.
Doyle loved traveling, playing cards, golfing, baseball, grilling, and reading. He had a unique sense of humor and was often found wearing one of his signature Grumpy T-shirts. He was proud of his service in the Navy and frequently shared memories of his time stationed in Argentia, Newfoundland, his many ports of call, and the experience of crossing both the Equator and the International Date Line while at sea. Above all, Doyle loved his family and the Lord.
Doyle is survived by his loving wife, Jean Tabor; his daughter, Kaisa Tabor; and his son, Chris Tabor. In accordance with his wishes and in honor of his faithful service to our country, Doyle will be laid to rest at sea.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you share your favorite memories of Doyle. Your stories and memories will be a treasured gift and a lasting comfort to those who loved him.
