

Elisa R. Bedoya, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at home in Gilbert, AZ, surrounded by her family. Elisa was born August 21, 1934 in Yuma.
Elisa retired as a cook from MCAS Yuma and JC Penney coffee shop. She loved to cook for family and friends. She was devoted to her entire family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She taught her family strength, love and faith. She will be missed.
Elisa is survived by her beloved husband, Abel of 56 years; daughters, Elizabeth Mendoza, Yolanda Hinzo, RoseAnn Bedoya, and Belinda Hanson; grandchildren, Michelle Figueroa and Michael Hinzo and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Hope White and Rose Sanchez; brothers, Joe, Solomon, and Alfonso Sanchez.
Elisa was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Natalia Sanchez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary. Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be John Mendoza, Gene Hensley, Larry Nuno, Michael Hinzo, Sabian Sanchez, and Raymond Miranda Jr.

She was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Yuma, and was a cook at MCAS Yuma and former cook at JCPenney coffee shop.
A wake will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with a Rosary at 7. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, followed by burial at Desert Lawn.
