Elizabeth Ahern (1960 - 2014)

Elizabeth Ahern, age 53, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Yuma Regional Medical Center following a short illness. She was born March 13, 1960 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. She came to San Diego, California at the age of 14 and became a U. S. citizen. She moved to Yuma in 1993 where she lived until her passing. Elizabeth attended San Diego Community College for two years.

She was a civil servant for the U. S. Government working at the Marine Corp Air Base. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Grace Eribez in 2010 and her dear brother, Arturo Moreno in 2001. She is survived by her companion, Henry (Rick) N. Garcia; brothers, Atenogenes E. Moreno, Tomas, Jose Ricardo, and Octavio Eribez all of San Diego, CA.; sisters, Elvia Y. Guerrero of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and Rosa M. Moreno of San Diego, CA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Catholic Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel, Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to time of service. Deacon Oscar Chavez Officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria del Angel, Yuma, AZ.
