Elsie Josephine Beck

Elsa (Elsie) J. Beck went to be with her Lord on October 20, 2016. Elsie was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on September 25, 1925. She was a wife and homemaker, living most of her life in Indiana. Her hobbies included working crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, reading and being outside when the weather permitted. She loved animals and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels play. Elsie moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona to live with her sister, Millie, after her husband passed away in 1997 and then they both moved to Yuma in 1998.

Elsie was preceded in death by husbands, James Mausen and Richard Beck, and two sons, Joey and Stephen Mausen. She is survived by her son, John Jeffrey Mausen (Kitty) of LaPlata, MD, her sister, Mildred Wood of Yuma, AZ and her nieces, Linda Hardesty-Jett and Elena Hardesty of Yuma, AZ, niece, Carol Walck of Ault, Co. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service is planned for November 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements, including cremation. Donations in her memory may be made to the Crossroads Mission of Yuma or the Humane Society of Yuma
