

Elsie was born in Bellevue, Ohio December 7, 1922 to Wells David and Ida Sara Ream. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Gerald "Jerry" and three children. The eldest being Mike and his wife Linda of Chino Hills, CA, Jerry Jr. of Santa Ana, CA and the youngest Linda Duncombe and her husband David of Yuma. She also has three grandchildren Michael, Wesley and Jeffrey Waring. She is also survived by two beautiful great grandchildren, Sydney and Natalie Waring ages 8 and 6.
Elsie graduated from Ohio State University in 1945 with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics. While attending college she met her future husband Gerald Waring. After graduation Elsie & Jerry were married on January 27, 1946. Elsie received further education and went on to teach Elementary School starting in 1956 and continued until 1971.
Much of her life was spent traveling with her dear husband all over the country with different baseball teams. They moved to cities like Newark, NJ, Macon, GA, Miami, FL, Richmond, VA, Attleboro, MA Williamsprot, PA., Elmira, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Glen Cove on Long Island, NY, Portland, OR, Anaheim, CA, & Cleveland, OH. Elsie & Jerry retired to Yuma in 1986. Elsie used to say she loved the heat on her old bones!
Elsie started studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses in Hialeah, FLA. She was baptized May 23, 1953 in the Atlantic Ocean. She was a very active evangelizer and anyone who talked to her, quickly was engaged in a discussion on th Bible. She has been a very active member of the Citrus View Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Yuma for the past 25 years.
A Memorial of her very productive life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 4985 E. 30th Place at 2:00pm on Saturday August 25, 2012.
