
Eugene D. Olea, 64, passed away on October 22nd, 2015 in Yuma Arizona. He was born in Yuma, Arizona on March 31st, 1951. Eugene graduated from Yuma High School. Eugene worked as a butcher in the meat industry for 37 years before retiring. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a member of the Catholic faith. Eugene loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and champion archer. He was the former president of the Yuma based Southwest Bow Hunters and Renegade Archers.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 38 years; Blanca M. Olea of Yuma , Arizona, daughter Melissa M. Olea of Somerton, son; Pete C. Olea of Yuma, Arizona, daughter-in-law Maricela S. Olea, sisters; Marie Olea, Ernestine Olea, Rosalie (Ruben) Gonzales, Irene (Carlos) Rivera, brothers; Peter D. (Raquel) Olea, Frank R. (Kathy) Olea, all of Yuma, Arizona, as well as 5 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Eugene in death was his father; Pete A. Olea and his mother Isabel D. Olea.
On October 29th his wake will be held at Funeraria Del Angel at 6:00 PM followed at 7:00 PM with Rosary. Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on October, 30th at 10:00 AM. Eugene's final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park, following mass.
