Floyd W. Hollis age 72, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Yuma. He was born October 8, 1938 in McCalister, Oklahoma.
Floyd graduated from Yuma High school. Later he was a truck driver for the City of Somerton. Floyd enjoyed golf, fishing, and shooting pool with his son Terry and good friends.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lois Hollis of Somerton; son Terry (Charity) Hollis of Somerton; daughter Jeanene (Wayne) Reighard of Utah; brother Troy (Debbie) Hollis of Scottsdale, AZ.,Virgil "Bud" (June) Hollis of Yuma; sister-in-law, Joyce "Judy" (Mickie) Shinn of Idaho; 4 grandchildren, Amber, Samantha, Heather, and Matthew; 3 great- grandchildren, Cody, Ayden, Mason and numerous nephews and neices.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Audie Hollis; sisters, Leota Pickette and Doris Young.
Graveside services will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Somerton /Cocopah Fire Department.
