Frances was born into a large family in Sinaloa, Mexico on April 2, 1937, and immigrated to the United States in her youth. She was a loving wife and mother, who devoted her life to her husband and family.
In 1962 Frances married Bob Lutes, the love of her life, and they soon started a family. After a time she was a great support in managing the family businesses and helping couples at Lutes Gretna Green Wedding Chapel.
Frances was an avid learner, and in the family it was often said how smart she was. Once she put her mind to it, she could master anything. She overcame her fear of learning to drive and like many moms chauffeured her kids back and forth to swimming lessons, baseball games, and dance classes.
Frances was an amazing cook and was also a proficient seamstress, she loved her plants and flowers, and was skillful at hooking rugs.
In the heyday of her life, Frances enjoyed fishing trips to Puertecitos or San Felipe with her husband, Bob, and Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Norma.
She could sing Mexican songs loudly around a campfire with strolling musicians, and if on the spur of the moment, you wanted to have your ears pierced, Frances said, " I can do it !" and could accomplish the task with an ice cube, a needle, a potato, and a bottle of Seagram's Seven for antiseptic purposes.
Frances was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In 1970 she became a proud naturalized U.S. citizen.
Frances is survived by Bob Lutes, her loving husband of 55 years, and son Bobby Lutes of the home; daughter Kelly, son-in-law Frederic, and grandchildren Nicolas, Adrian, and Scarlett Barone of Miami Beach, Florida; son Mike and daughter-in-law Brenda, and grandsons Sterling and Addison Lutes of Yuma.
