Jerry is survived by his loving wife Gail and children Vicki Ressler (late Skip), Christopher (Laura), Ricky, David (Mandy), several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sisters Lois Lelonek, Janice Nelson, Judy Foy (Mike). Mother-In-Law Doris Goss; Brother & Sister-In-Laws Donald Goss (Loretta), Ginny (Mark), Lynn (Bob), Amy (Kent), Glenn (Dianna), numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Preceded in death by his parents John and Bernadette, brothers John, Robert and Patrick; sisters Elaine, Doris and Bernadette.
Jerry spent his entire adult life proudly serving his country and community. His many accomplishments include:
• Proud member of The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Tribe
• MSGT USMC 1958-1981 (Vietnam Veteran)
• Fire Chief of Western White House under command of President Nixon
• MCAS-Yuma Firefighter of the year 1985
• MCAS-Yuma Fire Inspector of the year 1990
• VP/Volunteer of the year of American Red Cross-Yuma
• Secretary/Treasurer of Yuma Valley Rod and Gun Club receiving many awards for his dedication and service.
….. but most of all, bringing smiles to the faces of young and old alike as “Santa Claus” in full costume for his friends and loved ones at MCAS-Yuma and the Yuma community!!
